An invitation to see

WovenCome and See

What if something familiar could reveal something you may have never seen before?

A seed. A garden. A river. A dwelling place. Scripture is full of things we recognize. Follow their connections, and see where they may lead.

Why patterns?

What can the familiar reveal?

Scripture returns to certain images and relationships across centuries: a temple, a seed, water, light, a bride, a body.

But it does more than repeat familiar images. God instructed Moses to make a sanctuary according to the pattern shown on the mountain. Hebrews calls that sanctuary a copy and shadow of heavenly things.

So perhaps the visible can help us recognize what we cannot yet see. We begin with something familiar: the place where God dwells.

Begin with a pattern

The Temple

“See that you make them after their pattern, which has been shown to you on the mountain.”

Moses is shown a pattern for a sanctuary. The first passage begins a journey through Scripture, where one connection may open another.
