SCRIPTUREWorld English Bible · WEB

Ezekiel 47:1

Ezekiel 47:9

9It will happen that every living creature which swarms, in every place where the rivers come, will live. Then there will be a very great multitude of fish; for these waters have come there, and the waters of the sea will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river comes.

Observation

Ezekiel sees water flowing from the temple, bringing life wherever it goes. Revelation shows a river from the throne, beside the tree of life. The connection goes beyond similar scenery: life flows outward.

Ezekiel gives us an unexpected middle picture between the garden in Genesis and the river in Revelation.
